NO PENALTY!

Ajax are a minute and a half away. It struck Daley Blind’s arm, but it is in a natural position.

Drama in Turin!

There’s a VAR check. The ball has struck an arm.

Into two added minutes.

FULL TIME

Full Time: Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United

SUBS

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 88 minutes

Hugs from all the Ajax players for Hakim Ziyech, who has been fantastic, as he trudges off to be replaced.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is no stranger to such occasions. Another experienced head on.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 89 minutes

Top stop, Marc-Andre ter Stegen!

He’s had nothing, nothing at all to do, but saves brilliantly as Alexis Sanchez stoops on to a low Diogo Dalot cross and guides it towards the near post.

A strong left hand keeps it out.

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 86 minutes

Ajax still closing the game out very effectively. They have been magnificent.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 88 minutes

Luis Suarez picks the ball up on the edge of the box and audaciously tries to chip David De Gea, who is standing on his line. It floats over the bar.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 86 minutes

Manchester United haven’t got near Lionel Messi all night long.

Paul Pogba tries to cynically bring the Argentine down. He can’t even do that. Messi keeps his feet and dribbles on to cause Scott McTominay further problems. Pogba almost seems to have given up. He’s not the only one.

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 82 minutes

Another opportunity for Ajax.

Lasse Schone arrives on the volley but slices wide from the edge of the box.

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 81 minutes

Cristiano Ronaldo heads straight into Andre Onana’s hands, and the striker is offside anyway. If anyone is going to drag Juventus back into it then it will have to be him, but he’s rather on the periphery as Ajax shut the game down.

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 79 minutes

Ajax have the ball in the net, but the flag is up!

Hakim Ziyech fires home brilliantly but may be offside. On the turn, he finds the top corner with a fierce drive after the ball broke his way.

VAR checks, and he is, just, in the build-up to his goal. That would have sealed it.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 81 minutes

Barcelona answer with a change of their own. A ripple of applause for Philippe Coutinho. A cheer for Ousmane Dembele.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 79 minutes

A rather nice ovation for Alexis Sanchez (now sporting a thin moustache above his top lip -perhaps trying to confuse disgruntled Manchester United fans) as he replaces Jesse Lingard. Warm memories of his time at Barcelona.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 78 minutes

Jesse Lingard rattles one past the post from 25 yards out. That’s about as bright as Manchester United have been since the first ten minutes.

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 74 minutes

That could be a big miss! He could have sealed it…

David Neres it is, anticipating a mistake from the Juventus defence as they fail to clear and thus running free as Dusan Tadic lifts the ball over the top for him.

He gets his finish all wrong with goal agape and only Wojciech Szczesny to stop him. Goal kick.

Juventus 1-2 Ajax, 73 minutes

Juventus now need at least two goals and have finally woken up in the second half.

Emre Can tries to stab one to three teammates waiting but fails to get enough purchase on the pass.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 75 minutes

Another change for Barcelona.

Arthur has been quietly excellent. Again.

Arturo Vidal replaces him for the last 15 minutes.

Barcelona 3-0 Manchester United, 73 minutes

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes.

Barcelona introduce Nelson Semedo, excellent in the first leg, for Sergi Roberto.

Manchester United: Romelu Lukaku for Marcus Rashford.

GOAL!

GOAL! Juventus 1-2 Ajax (Matthijs De Ligt, 67 minutes)

It was coming! Ajax are ahead!

It’s a brilliant, brilliant header, leaping between two defenders and outmuscling them both to get his head to Lasse Schone’s delivery, directing the ball down into the ground to send it bounding up into the side of the goal past the keeper’s sprawling dive.

A captain’s goal from De Ligt. Nothing less than Ajax deserve.

Juventus 1-1 Ajax, 65 minutes

Ajax are playing some quite beautiful stuff.

Dusan Tadic incisively plays in Hakim Ziyech, who could and perhaps should shoot, but instead looks the way of Donny van de Beek (seemingly always in space for a pass as Ajax attack).

The Juventus defence surrounds van de Beek before he can control and release a shot.

What time is it and how can I watch it?

The game kicks off at 8pm at the Nou Camp.

Prediction

Barca are going to see an awful lot of the ball once again so United’s chances – where there are some – will surely come on the break or at set-pieces.

Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, should he play, will be key here with their pace clearly set to provide both Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet with difficulties.

Ander Herrera’s legs will be missed in the middle of the park as will the suspended Shaw’s workrate on the left flank – expect Barca to try and play keep away early on to take any lasting sting out of the visitors. Luis Suarez’s energy figures to once again be a problem for Chris Smalling to contain.
